Craftwarden Craft System

Craftwarden is currently in a validation and balancing phase. Values, recipes, XP rates and balancing may change during testing.

This page explains the Craftwarden system: how crafted attributes work, which materials are required, which items can be crafted, how XP and boosters work, and what happens when a crafted item is dropped.

===== Overview ===== The Craftwarden system allows players to improve specific equipped items by adding crafted attributes such as Strength, AC, elemental power, elemental resistance, weapon damage, attack, archery, and other combat bonuses.

Crafting is not category-based internally. The official permission source is the item override table: if an item is not listed there, it cannot be crafted. If an attribute is not listed for that item, that attribute cannot be added to it.

Each craft attempt requires:

* The target item to be equipped. * The selected craft attribute to be allowed for that item. * The player to meet the required level range for that attribute. * The required materials for that attribute. * 300,000 gold per craft attempt. * An optional booster item, if the player wants increased craft XP.

===== Important Rules =====

Rule Explanation
Equipped item required The selected item must be currently equipped. Items in the backpack cannot be crafted directly.
Item permission required Only items listed in the craftable item table can receive craft attributes.
Attribute permission required Each item has its own allowed attributes and maximum value.
Material cost Every attribute has a fixed material recipe. Materials are consumed on attempt.
Gold cost Every attempt costs 300,000 gold.
Booster optional Without a booster, the craft gives weak XP. With a valid booster, it gives normal XP plus the booster bonus.
Maximum craft level Each crafted attribute can reach level 5.
XP-based progression Craft attempts add XP to the selected attribute. When enough XP is reached, the attribute level increases.
Global cap before level 240 Before level 240, crafted bonuses obey the global cap rules.
Endgame itemization after level 240 At level 240+, item level 5 crafts use the actual equipped item bonuses instead of the pre-240 global cap.
PvP drop penalty If a crafted item is dropped due to PvP death, it loses 40% of its craft XP.
PvE drop penalty If a crafted item is dropped due to PvE death, it loses 20% of its craft XP.
Armor skin support Armors can be skinned in all available colors.

===== Craft Attribute Levels ===== Each craftable attribute progresses from level 0 to level 5.

Current Craft Level XP Needed For Next Level
0 100 XP
1 140 XP
2 190 XP
3 250 XP
4 320 XP

When an attribute reaches its maximum allowed level for the item or phase, stored XP for that attribute is reset to 0.

===== Player Level Unlocks ===== Craft attributes unlock by player level phase. Being at the minimum level unlocks the attribute, but the bonus starts with reduced efficiency and improves as the player progresses through the phase.

Player Level Range Attributes Unlocked Global Attribute Cap Before Level 240
200-209 str, end, agi, int, wis 30
200-209 air_r, earth_r, dark_r 15
200-209 fire_r, water_r, light_r 20
210-219 dod 80
210-219 par 20
210-219 ac 20
220-229 atk, arch 80
220-229 ap 15
230-239 air_p, fire_p, water_p, earth_p, dark_p, light_p 20
240-249 dmg 20
240-249 pb, sb, hide 15

===== Efficiency by Player Level ===== When an attribute first unlocks, the player receives only part of the effective bonus. Efficiency starts at 40% and scales up to 100% by the end of the level phase.

Example: if an attribute unlocks at level 200 and reaches full phase efficiency at level 209:

Player Level Approximate Efficiency
200 40%
201-208 Gradually increases
209+ 100%

This means the same crafted item becomes more effective as the player advances through the unlock range.

===== Level 240+ Endgame Rule ===== Before level 240, crafted attributes are controlled by the global cap table.

At level 240+, when crafted items reach item craft level 5, the character is no longer balanced only by the global cap table. Instead, the final bonus depends on the actual equipped itemization.

This means that competing slots are not added together. For example:

* A bow competes with a melee weapon. * A shield only applies if the build can use a shield. * A mantle competes with other mantles and robes. * A helmet competes with other helmets. * A player cannot use every listed item at the same time.

The endgame balance is based on realistic equipped builds, not the sum of all craftable items in the database.

===== Practical Endgame Balance Targets ===== These are approximate practical maximums using realistic equipped item combinations.

Attribute Practical Endgame Range Notes
ac 45-55 Defensive builds can reach high AC, but sacrifice offense or utility.
atk 80-105 Warrior-focused stat. Highest values require offensive rings, amulet, bracer and weapon.
arch 70-80 Archer-focused stat. Balanced against attack because bow and weapon are mutually exclusive.
dod 90-105 High dodge requires strong slot sacrifices.
par 20-25 Mostly shield/ring based.
hide 15-20 Controlled stealth scaling.
ap 20-25 melee / 15-20 archer Armor penetration remains useful without invalidating AC.
pb 25-30 Physical bonus is controlled and no longer excessive.
sb 25-30 Spell bonus is controlled and no longer excessive.
dmg 10 practical item value Direct damage is intentionally low to avoid burst inflation.
elemental power Around 30 for specialized builds Fire and dark use some +6 sources; most others use +5 stacking.
elemental resistance Usually below matching power Defensive builds can specialize, but most builds stay below offensive power.

===== Caps Explained ===== The final result is limited by several caps and rules.

Cap Type Explanation
Attribute global cap Applies mainly before level 240. It limits the maximum total value a player can have from equipped crafted items for that attribute.
Player phase cap The temporary cap based on the player's current level inside the unlock range.
Item cap The maximum value that a specific item can receive for that attribute.
Craft level cap Each crafted attribute can only progress up to level 5.
Endgame itemization limit At level 240+, the practical limit is based on what the player can actually equip together.

Before level 240, the effective maximum is whichever of these limits is reached first.

At level 240+, a player who reaches craft level 5 on all equipped crafted items becomes a true “God Of Power”.

In this endgame state, the character is no longer limited by the previous global cap system. Instead, the player gains the full crafted values directly from the equipped items.

The practical maximum is therefore determined by:

* Which items can realistically be equipped together. * Which equipment slots compete with each other. * Which builds sacrifice defense for offense, or offense for utility. * Whether the player completed a full level 5 crafted endgame setup.

Competing items are not added together unless they can actually be equipped simultaneously.

===== XP Gain by Attribute ===== Without a booster, the craft attempt gives weak XP. With a valid booster, it gives normal XP plus the booster percentage.

===== How a Craft Attempt Works ===== * The player opens the Craftwarden interface. * The player selects an equipped item. * The player selects one craft attribute allowed for that item. * The system checks the player's level unlock range. * The system checks whether the item can still receive more levels in that attribute. * If the player is below level 240, the system checks the total equipped global cap for that attribute. * If the player is level 240 or higher, the system uses the equipped itemization result for level 5 crafted items. * The system checks required materials. * The system checks the 300,000 gold cost. * If a booster was selected, the system validates and consumes it. * The system consumes the materials and gold. * The selected attribute receives XP. * If enough XP is reached, the crafted attribute level increases. * The item stores the new craft data and the crafter name.

===== Example ===== A player wants to craft str on an item.

* str unlocks at level 200. * The pre-240 global str cap is 30. * The player must use the str recipe materials. * The target item must explicitly allow str in the craftable item table. * Each craft attempt costs 300,000 gold. * Without a booster, the attempt gives 30 XP. * With a valid booster, the attempt gives 100 XP plus the booster bonus.

If the player uses a +20% XP booster, the craft gives:

* Base XP: 100 * Booster bonus: +20 * Final XP: 120

===== Loss on Dropped Crafted Items ===== Crafted items keep their crafted attribute data, but craft XP can be reduced when the item is dropped through death.

Drop Cause Craft XP Loss
PvP death 40% XP loss
PvE death 20% XP loss

This penalty affects craft XP progression and makes crafted equipment valuable but risky to lose.

===== Armor Skins ===== Crafted armors support skinning in all available colors. This allows players to keep the crafted power of their equipment while customizing the visual appearance of armor sets.

===== Notes and Known Data Issues ===== The source configuration contains a few names and IDs that should be reviewed before publishing the final official table:
